Take a step back in time

Rich with considerable heritage, you will be amazed by the treasures that the Vosges are full of.

Pass through the centuries by visiting historic places as varied as the Gallo-Roman amphitheatre of “Grand”, the three 7th century abbeys of Senones, Moyenmoutier and Etival, the house were Joan of Arc was born in “Domremy-la-Pucelle”, the necropolis of “La Fontenelle” or the Departmental Museum of Ancient and Contemporary Art.

From “brimbelles” to “tofailles”

Food lovers will not be disappointed by the local culinary traditions. Enjoy a good meal from Lorraine at a local “ferme-auberge”. Tofailles (Roigebrageldi), Lorraine pâté, grated potatoes, smoked ham, barkass, münster cheese or tarte-aux-brimbelles (blueberry pie), there’s something for all the tastes!

The Vosges has extraordinary industrial heritage. From the operation of copper and silver mines to that of forests, the boom of the textile industry and the paper industry, the lands of the Vosges are overflowing with resources.
